Kuhnke manufacture a wide range of linear solenoids. There is a selection of standard designs to choose from, or Kuhnke will manufacture a purpose built solenoid for a customer's own application. Production runs can be small or large quantities (> 100,000).
Selection depends on the activation and return forces needed, operating voltage, duty cycle etc etc. The combination of variants provides a very large number of standard possibilities, with each solenoid effectively custom designed, at competitive prices.
Linear solenoids will usually need to interface with small mechanisms where space may be at a premium. Operating conditions can vary from coin boxes to automotive, aerospace and hazardous applications.
Kuhnke production and development is backed by in-house technical research on magnetic fields, specialist applications and tooling.

General Solenoids The applications for solenoids are vast, and most frequently call for a simple linear device that will provide the maximum electro-mechanical force with the minimum power. Go to General Solenoids page |

Miniature Solenoids This tiny open frame solenoid is one of the smallest in the Kuhnke standard range, and is shown here as an example of Kuhnke miniaturisation. Go to Miniature Solenoids page |

Heavy Duty Solenoids We offer a range of closed frame solenoids for applications where high power is required. These products are suitable for more arduous and exposed conditions. There are two ranges to choose from. The V and UV range is based on a square profile, rectangular design. The RM and URM are round, and usually end mounted. Standard variants are not fully encapsulated but this specification is available. Go to Heavy Duty Solenoids page |
